What Have You Done
Liam was lucky to survive a brutal murder attempt from his mother when he was a child. Now he and his brother are on the police force trying to put other criminals behind bars; that is until Liam responds to a scene where the female victim is killed in a way that is similar to his mother’s homicidal efforts…and the victim is Liam’s lover. He can’t remember anything from the night of the slaying and needs to investigate while making sure he’s covering his ass until he can remember what happened that night.
It’s been awhile since I couldn’t put a book down and stayed up past my bedtime just to finish it. This book grabs the reader by the short and curlies from the very first chapter and doesn’t let go until the end. There aren’t too many suspects, but the first half of the book kept me guessing who it might be…towards the middle though, I think it was pretty predictable. Not to say it wasn’t an amazingly well written book, it’s just that the twists at the end weren’t overly surprising to me. I still think this was a captivating quick read that mystery lovers will enjoy.
You should read this book if you liked the movie Momento with Guy Pearce.
