The Shadow Rising
Series: The Wheel of Time / Book: 4

Sorry I've been so distant lately, it's me..not you.
With vacationing and preping for vacationing, I haven't been as ravenous in my reading as I usually am. So without further adieu, here is the latest from The Wheel of Time series:
The Shadow Rising is the fourth book in The Wheel of Time series and advances the storyline of each main character. Rand, Matt, Egwene, and Moraine leave Tear to travel the Aiel wastelands. Egwene goes to learn how to walk the world of dreams from the Wise Ones, Rand goes to further complete the prophesies of the Dragon Reborn, and Moraine goes to keep a close eye on Rand. Perrin and Loial take a different path and return to Edmond’s Field to defend the villagers from the Children of the Light and Trollocs. Lastly, Nynaeve and Elayne follow the Black Ajah to Tanchico to stop them from finding what will forcibly put Rand under their control.
I have been traveling a lot lately, so I didn’t fly through this book as quickly as I have the others, but the storylines are still captivating. I love that the separate branches are still all relevant to the main cause, so it’s not as easy to get lost as I have in other long book series. New characters are introduced throughout, but it’s not so many (and they aren’t all important) that I end up unable to keep information straight. I’m plodding along and can’t believe I’m not even halfway through this series. It’s not for the faint of heart, but I’ve loved every book so far.

The Rhuidean – It’s so intensely flavorful that it gives you a glimpse into your ancestor’s past. *Might be topped with drugs*
