All the Missing Girls

This best seller is about a woman who flees her hometown after high school when her best friend goes missing. She returns ten years later and another woman goes missing. There are many secrets and lies flying through town and unwanted memories come flying back and peak when a body is found. Was the first girl murdered? Or did she just leave town? And what about the current missing woman case? Find out how twisted friends can be by reading All the Missing Girls.
I expected this novel to follow the same conventional plot progression that I have come to anticipate from most murder mystery books out there, but this one was very unique and intriguing. The book sets the storyline up, but then it goes to two weeks past when a woman goes missing and works backwards day by day to give more information. It was a little unnerving at first, and I constantly had to remind myself that evidence I had read previously was actually found out the NEXT day chronologically. I’m not usually one to re-read books, but I really want to pick this one up again and read it backwards so it goes in sequential order and see if it’s still as great of a book. The story itself is also an atypical one, I didn’t know who was the bad guy in the end…including the victims. I closed the final pages and was very satisfied with the creativity of Megan Miranda. I will definitely be picking up another of her books to see if this was her peak, or if she’s just this good all the time. I’ll keep you all posted.
I would recommend this novel to those who liked The Woman in Cabin 10 or the film Mystic River.

Moose's Pizza in Kalispell, MT – I may not see it for years at a time, but it’s just as alluring as the last time I visited.
