Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard

Wow! I just finished the first book in the Red Queen series (completing my “book recommended by a librarian”) and all I can say is WOW! It pulled me in so quickly and I flew through the pages in only a couple days. I just couldn’t put it down. In this novel, humans are divided into the noble class (those with silver blood) and their servants (those with red blood). The Silver elite have special abilities that have kept them on top of the food chain for many years. That is, until Mare (a red blood) starts to show abilities of her own. Is there a way that the two classes can set aside the past and live together in peace?

I can’t give enough glowing reviews of this book! It is a young adult book, so it’s full of the teen who is in conflict, forbidden romance, and the like…but if you’re the type to love Hunger Games and the plethora of other young adult dystopian novels, then you should go buy this book immediately. I ordered the next book from Amazon but it won’t be here until tomorrow…and I’m not sure if I can wait that long to see what happens next.

A silver and red pizza. Toppings: pepperoni and anchovies. Ok…I know that sounds gross…but anchovies are about the ONE topping that might maybe-kind-of look silver. Go with it.
