I have just finished the third installment of the Red Queen series, and all I can say is MAN! This lady can write! This novel continues the story where the last left off; with Mare as Maven’s prisoner at court. Cal and the Scarlet Guard are doing all they can to save her while Mare is doing all she can to survive. Will she be reunited with her friends and family? And will they finally over throw the dark prince?
I really flew through this book. I couldn’t seem to put it down and each plot point was captivating and left me wanting more. The relationships between many of the characters suck you in (giving you all the feels) and the battles are mind blowing with all the differing abilities they fight with. The only thing that left me feeling down at the end of the book is that the 13 year old trapped in my heart wants Mare and Cal to just have a happily ever after…and now I’ll have to wait until the 4th and final book comes out in May of 2018! UGH!
I would recommend this book to people who liked the Sky High movie growing up, or people who liked the revolution storyline in the Hunger Games series
