I finished yet another book yesterday. This one fit my 2017 reading challenge of "a genre/sub genre you've never heard of before." This Gothic romance was actually really good!
If any of you read my review a couple weeks ago about The Maids of Misfortune....it was like that on steroids. The murders were more gruesome and the sexy stuff was adult rated. This is the story of a woman in the Victorian time period who has fallen from her high status to the dark and dangerous streets. She is taken in by a handsome, yet mysterious man. He keeps many secrets...is one of them that he is the one committing brutal murders in the shadows?
If you like murder mysteries and some steamy love scenes....this is a great read.
