The Maze Runner

It doesn't happen often...but I was reading two books at the same time (and by same time I, of course, mean not both books being open at the same time...but not reading one completely and then moving on to the next). I just finished Maze Runner. This book is about boys who wake up with no memory in a maze of stone. The labyrinth changes it's composition and is full of alarming creatures. Now, the first girl shows up with a message that will change everything.
It was a good read but, unfortunately for the book/author, I've already read Battle Royale, The Hunger Games trilogy and the Divergent trilogy. So although the story line was entertaining and the writing was good...it just seems like another popular book with an all too similar storyline. I'm moving on to the second book in this trilogy and I'll let you know if it gets better.
