I concluded reading Relic earlier this week (yes, the novel that the 90's movie was based on). When a relic shows up at the Museum of Natural History after the expedition that discovered it disappears, it's only the beginning of how weird things will get. Now people within the museum are being murdered, and it's linked to the new relic...but how? And who is the murderer?
This story was a first time collaboration between two different authors..and you can tell. I love a good Sci-Fi page turner. This one has a lot of dry delivery of information in the first half...and then really picks up into a good book in the second half. The biggest redeeming quality, for me, was the HUGE twist in the epilogue.
I still like the writings of James Rollins a whole lot more, so I would only recommend this book if you are a Sci-Fi lover.
