Great Expectations
I've decided to mark a few more classics off the list. This one follows a young man named Pip who longs to be with the girl he has an infatuation with, but he is of a lower class and is not worthy of her affections. After some strange happenings Pip comes into money and now has his chance at love, is there anything else that will get in his way?
The over-arching storyline to this book is quite interesting, but this is one of those paid-by-the-word classics that is way too long and has too many side stories. I always have a hard time following along. It was just alright...not my favorite classic.
